Update 30 Apr 2026: Several popular gift cards such as Airbnb, Bunnings and Amazon now only earn 1-2x points instead of the usual 3x points.
—
Earn 3x Qantas points per dollar spent when you buy gift cards on Qantas Marketplace and pay using money (not Qantas points).
Available gift cards include:
- Everyday WISH
- Woolworths
- David Jones
- Bunnings (now 2x points)
- Airbnb (now 2x points)
- Amazon (now 1x point)
- Harvey Norman (now 1x point)
3x Qantas points may not sound like much but for some of gift cards it’s quite good considering they’re seldom included in any better promotions.
There are hundreds of other gift cards available on Qantas Marketplace but most them aren’t worth buying as they’re often included in the more generous 20x points offers that Coles and Woolworths regularly run (e.g. JB Hi-Fi, Apple, Uber, The Good Guys, IKEA, Cotton On, DoorDash etc).

Am I right in saying you could triple dip here? Buy a $500 Wish or Woolworths card on a credit card at Q Marketplace (get points on credit card and points on Q Mkt) then use gift card at Woolworths and earn EDR points which will convert to Q points?
That’s right. Paying with a gift card at Woolworths doesn’t impact how many points you earn.
Great. Just thinking it’s a good alternative while Woolies they are not offering bonus on variable V, MC and EFT.
With the AMEX ultimate Qantas card, this works out to 5.25 points per dollar spent.
3x points directly through Qantas, 1 point per dollar on the AMEX ultimate card, plus 1.25 bonus points per dollar for a purchase made though Qantas on the AMEX ultimate card.
Priceline Gift Card, we purchase on Qantas Marketplace. We buy using our Amex credit card and pay for all our prescriptions. Unfortunately but fortunately we spend alot of money on medications.
The Amazon GC’s can no longer be bought from marketplace with cash 🙁 That was a nice little way to earn a few QF points.
