Types of Activ Visa gift cards
Activ Visa Pets & Vets, Grocery & Supermarkets and Tradie & DIY gift cards were originally merchant category gift cards that could only be used at specific types of businesses that corresponded to the theme of the gift card.
However, in 2023 these three gift cards all became prepaid open loop cards like the rest of the Activ Visa range, meaning they’re no longer restricted to particular merchant categories.
Denominations and fees
Physical Activ Visa gift cards have been observed in a number of different denominations including $50, $100, $200, $500, $750 and $1,000 as well as $25-500 and $50-500 variable load gift cards.
Digital Activ Visa gift cards, on the other hand, can be loaded with as little as $5 or as much as $1,000 depending on the card and retailer. Activ Visa Coffee digital gift cards have the lowest purchase fee of just $1 and can be loaded with between $5 and $20.
Promotions
Activ Visa gift cards used to be regularly included in 10x Everyday Rewards points offers at Woolworths but as of March 2024 they are no longer stocked there. These days, the only offers you tend to see on Activ Visa gift cards are discounts on the purchase fee.
