Activ Visa gift cards aren’t as widely accepted as other prepaid open loop gift cards (e.g. Coles/Vanilla Mastercards) but they do have the advantage of supporting mobile wallets (e.g. Apple Pay).

Unfortunately, you cannot use discounted Amazon gift cards to buy these. Stopped me at checkout. Unless there’s a workaround?
It stopped working in late 2023 and hasn’t worked since, unfortunately.
Can Activ visa be used for DEFT payments like strata?
I don’t believe so. Activ Visa gift cards are arguably the most restricted of all prepaid open loop gift cards.
Buying an Activ Visa gift card could be a good way to convert Coles or Vanilla Mastercards into something you can add to a mobile wallet. Might be useful for those who want tap-and-go, but probably not worth it if you don’t need mobile payments.
