Earn 10x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on $50 and $100 TCN Eftpos gift cards when you buy them in-store at Woolworths between 30 Jul and 5 Aug 2025.
Woolworths have once again excluded the $20-500 variable load denomination from this offer so it is a complete waste of money.
For those new to these promotions, it used to be the case that the $20-500 cards were always included, meaning for a purchase fee of just $7.95 you could earn 5,000 Everyday Rewards points (worth $25 or convertible to 2,500 Qantas points).
The $50 and $100 cards simply aren’t worth buying because the $5.95 and $6.95 purchase fees are too high to offset the tiny amount of points that you earn:
- $50 TCN Eftpos gift card ($5.95 fee) earns you 500 EDR points worth $2.50
- $100 TCN Eftpos gift card ($6.95 fee) earns you 1,000 EDR points worth $5.00
For that reason, I strongly recommend avoiding this promotion. You may also want to complain to both Everyday Rewards and Woolworths Gift Cards.

I’m assuming 5 cards per day per member?
That’s right.
These always sell out so get in early.
I keep an eye on the stocks in my area and they never run out. No doubt they still sell a few here and there but it would be a tiny fraction of the incredible demand we saw for the variable load cards when they were included in the offers last year.
I’ll buy the $100 as still net positive when converting to qantas points.
Would be great if they would do variables again, much better value.
Paying a $6.95 fee to earn 500 Qantas points works out to be 1.4 cents per point. Why suffer the hassle of buying these gift cards when there are far better ways of buying Qantas points?
Even if you do think that’s worthwhile, why not wait a few weeks for them to offer 10x points on $100 Vanilla Visa/Mastercard gift cards which have an even lower purchase fee ($5.95) and can actually be used online?
Is there a reliable release pattern for the 10x points on Vanilla Visa/MC GCs?
This year they’ve been closely following the pattern set last year: https://gcdb.com.au/predictions/?search=10x
I do prefer the online ones and will buy those also. The debit ones I use these at post office to pay ATO bill, so will be used instantly.
I value qantas points from 1.75 cent/point ($8.75 value – typical classic flight reward) to 7.2 cent/point $36 value – business upgrade). So still net positive for me. (Also about 40k points away from points club plus which is a solid benifit)
Fair enough. However, if you’re willing to pay over 1 cent per point you might instead consider buying a couple of the Antler suitcases that earn 21,047 points for $349 on Qantas Marketplace (1.66 cents per point). Much less hassle than buying five gift cards per day and you could probably resell them to bring the cost per point down.
Thanks for the tip, resale looks terribly low but the bigger problem is I’m aiming for 650K qantas points via paying ato. That’s a few too many suitcases. Getting 5 card per day (or 20 per day in our case) is a challenge. But I don’t mind it.
could we purchase next week’s coles mastercard with this one? thx
Probably. I still wouldn’t recommend it, though.
I used an eftpos gift card to buy a gift card from Woolworths a few weeks ago and to say it went pearshaped is an absolute understatement!! I do not recommend it either!
