Earn 20x Flybuys points per dollar spent on Restaurant Choice ($100), Luxury Escapes, Event Cinemas, Village Cinemas and RedBalloon gift cards when you buy them in-store at Coles between 12 Aug and 18 Aug 2026.
You can use Restaurant Choice gift cards at almost any restaurant, cafe or bakery. Every $100 gift card earns you 2,000 Flybuys points, convertible to $10 in Flybuys Dollars or 1,000 Velocity points.

- Limit of five gift cards per day
- Limit of 50,000 points per Flybuys account
- This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation
- Points usually credit in 1-3 days
Included denominations:
- Restaurant Choice: $100
- Luxury Escapes: $100-500 variable load
- Event Cinemas: $30, $50, $100
- Village Cinemas: $30, $50, $100
- RedBalloon: $100
The variable load Restaurant Choice, Event Cinemas and Village Cinemas gift cards are excluded from this offer so you’ll only earn 20x points on the fixed value cards listed above.
Luxury Escapes have a $1,500 gift card redemption limit per booking. You may be able to circumvent this restriction by booking and then cancelling a refundable stay so that the gift card is returned as account credit, although it’s unclear if this still works.
Note that Luxury Escapes gift cards cannot be used to book standalone airfares. Any airfares paid for with gift cards must be part of an accomodation package.
20x points is an unremarkable saving for Event Cinemas and Village Cinemas gift cards so if you don’t urgently need those gift cards they’re best avoided.

How you choose to pay doesn’t affect your eligibility for the points.
You should be able to use the Coles Mastercards to pay for the Restaurant Choice gift cards, but if you’re using self-checkouts then you will have to do it one transaction at a time since split card payments aren’t allowed when buying gift cards.

Ah, in that case it may only be possible via Apple Pay. As a general rule, mobile wallet payments are more likely to be accepted.
