TCN Cinema gift cards are merchant category gift cards that should work at basically any cinema in Australia. The digital gift cards can be added to your mobile wallet (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay).
It’s worth mentioning that cinema-specific gift cards are sometimes included in offers where you can save more than 15%.
For example, Hoyts gift cards are currently 20% off and Event Cinemas gift cards earn 18% cashback on ShopBack today.
With that Hoyts offer, you may even be able to use these TCN Cinema gift cards to pay for those gift cards to stack the two savings. This has worked in the past using Apple Pay.
However, if you are going to try and combine this offer with the one at Hoyts, keep in mind that both limit you to specific denominations so the amounts won’t always line up perfectly.
Using a $200 TCN Cinema gift card ($170 after 15% off) to buy a $250 Hoyts gift card ($200 after 20% off) for a total of 32% off would be the tidiest option but that’s assuming it still works and you actually want a $250 Hoyts gift card.

Purchasing a Hoyts gift card isn’t working for me. Has anyone else had success?
Did you use Apple Pay? I believe that’s the only way it still works.
U can’t buy them in Hoyts or Imax Melbourne online anymore. They stopped working.
As recently as today you could use TCN Cinema gift cards to buy Hoyts gift cards online via Apple Pay. What makes you think that’s changed?

So guys you can buy digital hoyts card with this card in and iOS device or iPhone only?. And Any android device won’t support it or just Google pay? Any idea about Samsung Pay
Based on what everyone has said it seems like it’s only possible with Apple Pay now.
I just tried using a TCN Cinema gift card to buy a Hoyts gift card, and it worked, but you need to use Apple Pay.
