15% off TCN Choice, Active, Shop, Pamper, Cinema and Good Food gift cards at Coles

Image: Coles

Update 17 Oct: TCN have removed Uber and Uber Eats from the TCN Shop gift card so you can no longer exchange it or any of the other gift cards in this offer for an Uber gift card.

Save 15% when you purchase TCN Choice, Active, Shop, Pamper, Cinema and Good Food gift cards at Coles between 19 Nov and 25 Nov 2025.

You can use the TCN Pamper gift cards at almost any hair salon, barber or spa. They reportedly even work at cosmetics retailers such as Mecca.

Also included is the TCN Good Food gift card that should work at most restaurants (excluding those classified as fast food).

Here are the details:

  • Runs from Wed 19 Nov to Tue 25 Nov 2025
  • Only available in-store at Coles
  • Excludes variable load gift cards
  • Limit of five gift cards per customer

The five per customer limit is really just a per transaction limit. Some staff may allow you to make multiple transactions but in other cases you may need to visit a different store or return on another day to purchase more gift cards.

Note that TCN gift cards have recently become a popular target of tampering scams. Whilst most reports we’ve seen so far have been limited to the TCN gift cards that work at JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys (none of which are included in this offer), it’s possible that these ones could also attract the attention of scammers.

For that reason, you should try to spend them as soon as possible. Giving them as gifts isn’t recommended but for the cards that can be swapped for selected digital gift cards on the TCN website you could do that and then use the digital gift card code as a present instead.

TCN Active gift cards can be used at 99 Bikes, Adidas, Archie Brothers, ASOS, BCF, Big Swing Golf, Billabong, Bonds, Camping World, Champion, City Beach, Compleat Angler, Cotton On, Cotton On Body, Decathlon, Drummond Golf, Elite Eleven, Foot Locker, Giant, Glue Store, H&M, Holey Moley, Hype DC, Intersport, JD Sports, Lorna Jane, Macpac, Merrell, New Balance, Nike, Platypus, Puma, Quiksilver, Rebel, Reebok, Skechers, Sportsco, SportsPower, Strike, Stylerunner, Surf Dive n Ski, The AFL Store, The Athletes Foot, TK Maxx, Topgolf, Zone Bowling.

  1. Should the pamper card work to book accomodation on the Accor website? Only annoying thing is that the maximum card is $100, but I know there are some ibis Budget hotels for under $100 a night.

    1. get the GoodFood card $200 it can be used to pay for accommodation BUT….. usually if they have EFTPOS machine to charge after you convert it digitally. My experience is that most of those booking and accommodation websites don’t go under Hotels, Motels but Online Services so sometimes it won’t work.

    2. You’re better off using them in-person at the hotel. That way you can ask to split the payment across multiple cards. It won’t always work, though.

      1. Work if they let ya won’t work if they don’t or have different MCC EFTPOS machine

    1. It’s hard to say. I’d certainly feel a lot more comfortable buying a gift card in this promotion compared to the $500 TCN Kids or Teen gift cards that were included in some recent offers. Those high value cards that support JB Hi-Fi seemed to be a major target for scammers.

These smaller value and less desirable TCN gift cards are not necessarily safe but they’re likely not as popular with scammers. Still, I recommend that you use them as quickly as possible and avoid giving them as gifts.

  2. I’d stay away from TCN gift cards. I had one hacked not long ago and it was a massive hassle trying to get a refund. In the end, TCN did refund me, but it took a lot to get there. I had to go through the supermarket, Consumer Affairs and even tried a credit card chargeback before anything happened.

I also reported the incident to the ACCC, but who knows if they’ll actually do anything about these gift card hack issues.

    1. We were actually very lucky, TCN resolved it for us within a month by sending us a replacement that was very secure and express post. Had to pester them almost everyday asking for an update.

    1. I’ve used them to buy Mecca gift cards in-store several times, most recently in September. I assume it would probably still work with the physical cards but I always convert mine to digital so I can pay with Apple Pay.

      1. Do you know whether it will work for Mecca online for gift cards if you convert to digital and checkout with Apple Pay.

        1. I’ve only used them in-store but I wouldn’t be surprised if it also worked on their website. Feel free to report back if you try it.

          1. I have used about 12 different pamper cards on the Mecca website to purchase Mecca gift cards to use online since I don’t live near one and have never had an issue with them.

          2. Tried 3 different cards buying Mecca gc online, worked. But the fourth and fifth ones cannot work. Showing payment error : • We have encountered an error in processing your payment, please try again or contact us for further assistance. Not sure what to do now, the card has value.

          3. It’s probably just a security measure as you made multiple purchases back to back which can come across as suspicious. I’d give it some time before trying again. Using another device or internet connection might also help.

          4. Was thinking the same. But tried different devices and internet, still same error. Will try tomorrow, if not, may need to go to store to buy gc.

            Reply

          5. Updates: still cannot buy online. But instore has no issue. I suggest do not buy gc online too many times in a short time. Mecca may block the BIN number and won’t allow you to purchase online for good.

    1. You select Kogan on this page and then enter your TCN Shop gift card details to receive a digital Kogan gift card. That page states that:

An unlimited amount of Gift Card codes can be used per transaction on the Kogan.com website.

  3. Hi. The Good Food Card website lists very few restaurants that it can be used at. Trying to understand if this card can actually at many places (like sushi shops) like the Restaurant gift card can? Do you know? Thank you

    Reply

    1. The TCN Good Food gift card is a prepaid merchant category gift card that should work at any business classified as ‘5812: Eating Places, Restaurants’. However, it doesn’t support ‘5814: Fast Food Restaurants’ which can actually include things like cafes, pizza places and grills. Some places you would think are 5812 are actually 5814 which means you have a higher chance of being declined with this card compared to the more versatile TCN Restaurant or Restaurant Choice gift cards.

If you are going to buy one to give it a go, I’d definitely recommend swapping your physical TCN Good Food gift card for a digital one via their website as some payment terminals don’t like the physical cards.

      1. If you have previously used a TCN restaurant card, if you have an android device or use an emulator on a windows or mac computer, you can see whatever places you have used previous cards what MCC they use, my local sushi shop that I always get sushi uses 5812 according to the TCN app, which was surprising as I thought they used 5814, but it is a great way to double check.

        1. This is a good tip. Another way to find out what MCC a business uses is to ask your bank if you’ve previously spent money there. OzBargain also have a crowdsourced list of MCCs for popular businesses that you can check.

  4. That is so disappointing that Uber/Uber Eats has been removed! Do you know if the GoodFood card will work to make Uber Eats purchases, as I can see on the OzBargain MCC Lookup that it says Uber Eats uses MCC 5812, but want to know if anyone has tried this before?

  5. Big fan of your IG & website above. Just dropping a line to say a Big TQ. I was planning to buy $300 worth of TCN Choice GCs tomorrow from Coles specifically for Uber Eats. Imagine my relief to receive your latest post notification on my phone this morning before I unknowingly pull the trigger tomorrow. Saved me a hell lot of grief. Keep up the awesome work 🔥

  6. Can someone explain how this works? For example, I only need to pay $85 for $100 value GC? or I pay $100 and then get $115? Thanks

  7. So far no luck with the Good Food card – tried it at a Thai restaurant last night and a bakery / coffee shop this morning and declined at both. Will stick to the black Restaurant card in future

  8. Do any of these cards work at major retailers like JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Bing Lee, or The Good Guys? I’m planning to buy an iPhone.

    Reply

    1. No, just the retailers listed in the article. We do often see 10% off on the TCN and Ultimate gift cards that do work at those shops, though.
