Earn 10x Everyday Rewards points on $50 and $100 Vanilla Mastercard gift cards when you buy them in-store at Woolworths between 4 Jun and 10 Jun 2025. Limit of five gift cards per day.
This is an awful promotion because it excludes the only Vanilla Mastercard denomination worth buying: the $25-500 variable load card.
If you buy the fixed value $50 and $100 denominations that are included, the amount of points you earn won’t even offset the $5.95 purchase fees you have to pay for each card:
- $100 Mastercard ($5.95 fee) earns you 1,000 EDR points worth $5.00
- $50 Mastercard ($5.95 fee) earns you 500 EDR points worth $2.50
Before 2025 these Mastercard offers always included the $25-500 cards where you could earn as much as $25 worth of points for a $7.95 purchase fee provided you loaded the maximum amount of $500.
Until Woolworths stop excluding the $25-500 variable load cards, there’s absolutely no reason anyone should be taking part in any of these promotions.

I don’t believe the variable load cards will come back.
Is this based on inside knowledge or gut feeling?
If they were going to reinstate it don’t you think they would have by now?
Only reason to buy these would be if your close to reaching points club or points club plus and need the extra boost. Still can’t stomach the high fee for low limits cards. Recently had to dispute fraud with a vanilla card and even though they found the case in my favour they wont refund all of it, they only sent replacement cards for $300 out of the original $500.
Is this card ok for Tax?
The days of the $250 cards or $500 cards are over 🙁
