Pay no purchase fee when you buy $30, $50, $100, $200 and $400 TCN Eftpos gift cards at Coles between 11 Dec and 17 Dec 2024. If you buy a $50 Eftpos gift card, for example, you’ll pay just $50 instead of the usual price of $55.95 ($50 + $5.95 fee).
Here are the details:
- Runs from Wed 11 Dec to Tue 17 Dec 2024
- Only available in-store at Coles
- Limit of five gift cards per customer
- Excludes TCN Bromley Eftpos gift cards
- You will also earn 1x Flybuys point per dollar spent
Whilst a waiving of the purchase fees may seem like a dull offer, this could be handy if you were planning to give someone a prepaid gift card for Christmas. You’ll still earn 1x Flybuys point per dollar spent when buying these gift cards.
Just make sure you check the barcode of your gift card before paying for it as we have seen a handful of cases of TCN Eftpos gift cards being tampered with. You can find more info on how this scam works here.

This is an excellent way to convert Coles or Category Choice Groceries cards (that you often can get at a discount) into open loop cards, and get flybuys points while at it
How do you get Category choice gift cards at a discount?
From our article on Category Choice gift cards:
Personally, I have HCF health insurance so we can I can get it through them.
Also when you buy stuff at The Good Guys you can pay a bit more for “extended warranty” and they let you buy discounted gift cards for a year, and also $20 every couple months. If you use it wisely, you’re actually saving more money than the extended warranty cost you initially. Some larger employers also have various discounted gift cards through some benefit schemes.
