Save 10% on $10, $20, $50 and $100 Shell digital gift cards when you purchase them on PS Rewards. There is apparently a limit of one gift card per customer.
PS Rewards appear to have just launched so little is known about them. For what it’s worth, I created a free account and bought a $50 gift card for $45 and everything went smoothly.
Shell digital gift cards can be used at participating Reddy Express and OTR service station to buy both fuel and other items. Find eligible locations by going here and selecting ‘Gift Cards – eGift Card’ in the filtering options.
The promotion terms and conditions state that this offer will end either at 1pm AWST (3pm AEST) on 23 Apr 2026 or when the $25,000 promotional allocation is exhausted so be quick if you do intend to try them out.

Purchased a couple of these cards with my CC and noted that my CBA app listed the purchases as “Cash.” Then I was hit with a $4 Cash Advanced fee for each transaction. Not sure if this means a blanket categorisation of cash by every bank but be forewarned, it might be best to buy from this retailer with a debit card.
I am going to call my bank to see if they will reverse the charges.
Thanks for letting us all know. I just checked and PS Rewards appear to be using the merchant category code ‘6540: Funding Transactions’ which explains why you were charged a cash advance fee. I’ve reached out to PS Rewards to see if they can switch to a different MCC.
PS Rewards have stated that they’re looking into it and advise anyone who has been charged a cash advance fee to contact them directly.
Thank you for your work. I will contact them.
Have already seen they helped out someone that was only give 1% off when the discount was changed on him mid purchase. That’s great customer service. Here’s hoping they will be round for years to come.
As a general rule of thumb, you should not use a CBA credit card to purchase a gift card online from a website whose primary business is selling gift cards (unless it is from Special gift cards).
CBA has a tendency to classify transactions at such websites as cash advances (and this applies to Prezzee, Giftz, Everyday Gifting, etc).
If you are purchasing from a website where they sell a wide range of goods as well as gift cards (e.g. Amazon), you should be fine using a CBA credit card, because there should be no information from the purchase passed onto CBA that indicates your transaction was a purchase of gift cards.
