The Flybuys Rewards Store is an online store where you can redeem your Flybuys points for gift cards and other products.
Summary
You can:
- Redeem your Flybuys points on a small number of gift cards
- Occasionally get 10% of your points back during a promotion
You cannot:
- Purchase gift cards on the Flybuys Rewards Store with solely with money as at least 30% of the price must be paid using Flybuys points
Points Plus Pay
Whilst the Flybuys Rewards Store does allow you to pay using a combination of points and cash, it’s shocking bad value because they sneakily adjust the value of each point depending on how many you are using to pay.
For example, a $100 gift card costs 20,000 points which reflects the standard Flybuys value of 2,000 points = $10 (0.5 cents per point).
However, if you only have 6,000 points ($30) and want to buy a $100 gift card you’re required to pay an additional $87.50, meaning you’re effectively paying $117.50 for a $100 gift card.
For that reason, you should only ever use the Flybuys Rewards Store if you can pay exclusively with points.
Promotions
There are promotions on the Flybuys Rewards Store every couple of months or so where you can receive back 10% of the points you redeem on selected gift cards. For example, if you used 20,000 points to buy a $100 TCN Good Food gift card you would get 2,000 points back.
