- Purchase selected gift cards in-store and online at Costco
- Buy Costco Shop gift cards which can be used by non-members to shop at Costco

- Split payments across multiple cards when buying a gift card
You cannot:
- Buy gift cards at Costco without a membership or valid Costco Shop gift card
- Rely on all Costco locations stocking the same gift cards
Payment methods
Costco accepts the following payment methods both in-store and online:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Apple Pay
American Express cards are not accepted. As recently as April 2025, it has been possible to buy gift cards in-store and online at Costco using Category Choice Groceries gift cards despite them not officially supporting Costco’s merchant category code (5300).
Promotions
Costco used to sell more third-party gift cards, some of which were generously discounted, but as of April 2025 they appear to only sell DoorDash gift cards for 20% off as well as Luxury Escapes, Xbox and Game Pass gift cards for 10% off.
Gift cards that have previously been sold at Costco include Accor Hotels, Binge, Kayo, Timezone, Google Play and PlayStation Store gift cards.
