Category Choice gift cards are essentially prepaid Visa gift cards set to only work at businesses that use a merchant category code that corresponds to the theme of each card (e.g. the Groceries card works at Coles, Woolworths etc whilst the Fuel gift card can be used at service stations).
The Category Choice Pets & Vets gift card is popularly used to pay for health insurance premiums (it doesn’t just work for pet insurance) whilst the Groceries card is a great way to save even more during an offer on gift cards at Coles, Costco etc.
Uber and Uber Eats gift cards are identical. You can even switch the payment method on orders and rides you made up to 30 days ago to use the gift cards you just bought in this offer.
Both the Uber and Category Choice gift cards are available in denominations ranging from $5 to $500. If you can’t see all of those options, try visiting the website in your browser or on another device.
Note that HelloFresh, EveryPlate and Youfoodz gift cards cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers, vouchers or discounts.

Are you using the app? On desktop I can choose denominations all the way up to $500.
You are right .on laptop seems it works .btw,can you use this to pay for car insurance ?
Pet, health, car and home insurance should all fall under the same merchant category code. The question is whether your particular provider will accept these gift cards but in a lot of cases they do.

Wait a day and try again. They don’t usually let you add multiple in a short period.
All the Category Choice are now limited to 5/25/50 with no option to select an amount.
Guess I’ll be prepaying insurance in $50 increments 🤣

I can see up to $500 category choice and Uber cards using chrome but only up to smaller amounts on my app.

Would it allow for split payments?
Self checkout you would need to insert cash first and then pay the remainder with one card. For two cards, you would need to go to a staffed checkout/service desk and the staff member would have to let you pay with two cards.

how do you pay insurance?
It won’t work with all insurance providers but you usually just enter how much you want to pay (e.g. $50.00) and then input the card number, expiry and CVV for the Pets & Vets gift card.
Would this work for AAMI car insurance ?
Word of warning that one of the three Category Choice (grocery) cards I purchased doesn’t work – it doesn’t load to my Apple Wallet as the other two did. Amazon doesn’t want to know about it, and Category Choice customer support is not (supportive). Normally this would be getting close to chargeback territory, but I used the Coles prepaid MC to stack discounts.
Just wait a day and try again. They don’t like it when you add multiple gift cards to your wallet in a short period.
