Holiday & Hotel gift cards can only be used to book hotels on the gift card’s own website. They can’t be used on other booking sites or directly at hotels.
Officially, you’re limited to a maximum of $500 in gift cards per booking but at least one person has claimed to have been able to redeem over $1,000 in gift cards for a single stay.
Their live chat also told us that the limit is actually five gift cards, not $500, meaning you could potentially use as much as $2,500 in gift cards for a single booking. However, this claim contradicts their own terms and conditions so it may not be true.
They used to also have hidden “booking” and “technology” fees that were only revealed on the final payment page but it appears they’ve done away with this so the rate you see while browsing should be the same when you go to pay.
If you’re going to take advantage of this offer, you should compare prices with other booking sites before buying any gift cards.
It’s also worth checking the hotels page on Rewardist as you can usually always earn 10-15% cashback on other hotel booking websites, although you only receive those savings months after you checkout.
