This offer isn’t recommended because we usually see 1,500-2,000 bonus points on $100 prepaid Visa and Mastercard gift cards at Coles.
With just 1,000 points available this time, each $100 gift card will earn you $5.50 in points for a $5.95 purchase fee, meaning you lose money on every purchase.
By comparison, Coles ran a 2,000 points offer on $100 Mastercard gift cards in January that allowed you to earn $10.50 in points for an even cheaper purchase fee of just $5.00.
These 1,000 points bonuses just aren’t high enough to make it worthwhile. Even if you could really do with a few thousand extra points, we’d still suggest skipping this promotion.
