JB Hi-Fi gift cards can be used to purchase goods at Australian electronics retailer JB Hi-Fi.

How to use JB Hi-Fi gift cards
JB Hi-Fi’s own gift cards
JB Hi-Fi gift cards can be used to buy goods in-store at JB Hi-Fi locations (excluding Sydney and Gold Coast airports), online on the JB Hi-Fi website and over the phone. Note that they can’t be used on JB Hi-Fi Business or JB Hi-Fi Education.
For in-store payments, let the staff member know you’re paying with a JB Hi-Fi gift card and then present either your physical card or digital barcode and enter the four digit PIN when prompted.
If you’re shopping on the JB Hi-Fi website, enter your eighteen digit gift card number and four digit PIN when checking out. Any remaining amount not covered by your gift card can be paid using another payment method (e.g. another gift card, a debit/credit card etc).
Whether you’re shopping in-store or online, there is no limit on the number of gift cards you can redeem at JB Hi-Fi. There are many accounts of people using dozens upon dozens of gift cards without issue.
Third-party gift cards
If you have a JB Hi-Fi-compatible multi-retailer gift card such as an Ultimate or TCN card, there are a number of ways that you can use them at JB Hi-Fi.
For in-store purchases, you can simply swipe your physical Ultimate or TCN gift cards or use your phone to pay if you’ve added them to your mobile wallet. You don’t have to tell them that you’re paying with a gift card but if your purchase exceeds the amount on your gift card then you’ll have to ask if you can pay using multiple cards.
If you’re shopping online, you’ll first want to swap your Ultimate or TCN gift cards for some of JB Hi-Fi’s own digital gift cards via their respective websites. You will then be able to enter apply them to your purchase using the steps mentioned above.
Lastly, Ultimate gift cards also allow you to enter your card’s details into the credit/debit card field on the JB Hi-Fi website. This method isn’t recommended for most purchases because you can only use one card at a time.
Expiry
JB Hi-Fi’s own gift cards do not expire. Third-party gift cards that can be used at JB Hi-Fi will have their own expiry dates (usually three years or more).
Promotions
Whilst promotions on JB Hi-Fi’s own gift cards are few and far between, the Ultimate and TCN multi-retailer gift cards that can be swapped for JB Hi-Fi gift cards are very frequently included in bonus points or discount offers.
Typical discounts on Ultimate and TCN gift cards are 10% off or 20x Everyday Rewards or Flybuys points, although we do occasionally see more generous discounts such as GiftCards.com.au’s 15% off sale on Ultimate cards in September 2023 or Coles’ annual TCN 15% off promotion in November.
