The app for Woolworths Group’s loyalty programme, Everyday Rewards, features a gift card store that works similarly to the Woolworths Gift Cards website, albeit with fewer options.

You can use the following payment methods to buy gift cards in the Everyday Rewards app:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
Unlike the Woolworths Gift Cards website, PayPal is not supported. It also does not appear possible to add prepaid Visa or Mastercard gift cards as a payment method in the Everyday Rewards app.
Promotions
In addition to the long running offer of 3% off Woolworths Group gift cards, the Everyday Rewards app often runs promotions on an assortment of gift cards. For third-party gift cards a typical discount is 5-10% off or 20x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent.
For Woolworths Group’s own gift cards (e.g. Woolworths, Big W etc), they sometimes run offers of bonus value (e.g. 5%) or Everyday Rewards points (e.g. 6x points). Lately, they have even let members combine the bonus points offers with the constant 3% off so you can earn points and a discount.
Unlike the in-store promotions on gift cards that Woolworths run, these in-app or online offers don’t credit the points instantly. Instead, you’ll have to wait up to fourteen business days after the end of the promotion to see the points arrive in your account.
One issue with buying gift cards through the Everyday Rewards app is that you are limited to one per transaction compared to the Woolworths Gift Cards website which lets you buy up to five at a time. This can be a problem for offers where you can only earn the bonus points on your first transaction.
Another problem you may encounter when using the Everyday Rewards app to buy gift cards is your transaction being inexplicably declined. The app’s payment system is very picky with what cards it allows.
