It looks like some participating Mitre 10 stores may run their own variations of this offer in-store, so be aware before making any purchases.
For example, Clennett’s Mitre 10 in Tasmania (https://www.instagram.com/clennettsmitre10/p/DSVrEZogbUa/) is selling 10% off Mitre 10 gift cards in their stores between 17-24 December inclusive, the maximum gift card value is $250 per day and there is no mention of needing a Mighty Rewards membership.
Can these be used at other Metcash stores?
I believe Mitre 10 gift cards are just barcodes that only work at Mitre 10.
