These prepaid Mastercard gift cards can be used almost anywhere both in-store and online. They can even be used to pay the ATO for zero fees last we checked.

- Limit of five gift cards per Flybuys account
- $5 fee on $100 card, $7 fee on $250 card

Whilst these gift cards do have purchase fees, they’re still worth buying given how many points you earn. For example, the $100 Mastercards have a $5 fee but for that you earn 2,105 Flybuys points worth $10.50+ (or convertible to 1,000 Velocity points).
Both the $100 and $250 Mastercards receive 2,000 bonus points so most people tend to just buy the $100 denomination.
This is the only the third 2,000 points offer Coles have run on Mastercard gift cards this year so it will be very popular. Go first thing Wednesday if you want to stand the best chance of finding some.

If you attempt to split payment for a gc at coles it’ll trigger a warning which requires a staff login, most of them are spooked and straight out say no you can’t do that
The self checkouts won’t let you split a purchase across multiple cards but they should accept cash and one card. To pay with two or more cards you will need to go through a regular checkout or the service desk, though.
Does it limit to 5 cards per day, or 5 cards total?
The limit is 5 cards per Flybuys account for the entire promotional period.
