Do you know if it’s now possible to buy the iPhone 17 pro in the Qantas shop website? If no, if the offer is coming up soon? Thanks!
Are you referring to the practice of clicking through Qantas Shopping before purchasing on the Apple website to earn the extra 1x point per dollar spent? If so, the iPhone 17 models are currently excluded from those extra Qantas Shopping points but Apple are apparently announcing a new product this week which should mean they finally remove the iPhones from the exclusions list.
I think those scammers are smarter now. They completely remove the last four digits of the Apple gift cards. I got a $200 gift card today and saw at least two others on Facebook having the same issue.
HOw are they doing this please? Is this noticeable on the actual gift card?
This is why I always recommend that people open and check each Apple gift card before paying. That way if they’ve done anything to the redemption code you’ll be able to spot it.
Nope didn’t notice a thing. I went back to the woollies where I got it and they replaced it with another $200 and it’s tampered with. They then removed all $200 apple GC from the shelf. The $100 ones were fine. The only noticeable difference is the scratchie to reveal the code. The genuine one has a little arrow on the top left on the actual card. The ones that are tampered with had a ‘flip page’ sign which is the old design (but in the new outer package)!
I live rurally and have not had any problems (hopefully will never do) with gift cards being scammed from TCN, Ultimate, Apple. I wonder if it is more like a Metro issue?
Most likely. After all, in the time it would take a scammer to visit a regional store they could probably hit a dozen ones in the city.
Even if you live rurally I’d still recommend checking the gift cards first just to be safe.
Can you confirm that there are no issues using the variable cards. eg If I wanted to buy 3xvariable and load at the full $500 each, to go towards paying for a macbook, is this ok?
That would be perfectly fine.
This offer is not available in Woolworths. I checked with the store. So this is false information
It is available. It’s advertised in the Woolworths catalogue for every state and territory.
In-store staff often have no idea what they’re talking about. I suggest you buy a $20 Apple gift card as a test so that you can see for yourself.
