Earn 2,000 bonus Flybuys points in addition to the usual 1x Flybuys point per dollar spent when you buy $100 and $250 Mastercard gift cards in-store at Coles between 14 Jan and 20 Jan 2026.
You can spend these gift cards almost anywhere Mastercard is accepted in-store and online. Note that they no longer work to pay the ATO online.
Here are the details:
- Runs from Wed 14 Jan to Tue 20 Jan 2026
- Only available in-store at Coles
- Limit of five gift cards per Flybuys account
- $5 fee on $100 card, $7 fee on $250 card
- This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation
These gift cards are worth buying despite the purchase fees. For example, each $100 Mastercard you buy earns you over $10 worth of points (or 1,000 Velocity points) for a fee of just $5.
The $100 and $250 Mastercards earn the same bonus of 2,000 points so the $100 cards tend to sell out much faster than the less attractive $250 cards.
This will likely be the last one of these offers for some time as after January last year we did not see it again until August because Coles chose to run several lower value promotions on Visa gift cards instead (e.g. 1,000 points on $100 cards).

Hello, can these be used for purchasing gift cards at say Woolworths? I know with a standard gift card this wouldn’t be allowed, looking to points chain.
They should work to buy some but not all. For example, they’ve been used to buy Apple, Ultimate, TCN, Uber etc gift cards but not other prepaid Visa, Mastercard or Eftpos gift cards nor any gift card produced by Woolworths Group.
