The Fork gift cards are merchant category restricted gift cards set to only work at restaurants and drinking places. These gift cards work very similarly to other restaurant-themed TCN gift cards such as Good Food and Broadsheet gift cards.
As of May 2024, The Fork gift cards appear to have been discontinued.
Summary

Supported merchant categories
The Fork gift cards can be used at businesses with the following merchant category codes:
- 5812: Eating Places, Restaurants
- 5813: Bars, Cocktail Lounges, Discotheques, Nightclubs, and Taverns: Drinking Places (Alcoholic Beverages)
The language used on The Fork’s gift card website suggests that they can only be redeemed at participating restaurants. However, the terms and conditions indicate that they are in fact merchant category gift cards:
The Card works at venues that have designated the merchant category code Eating Places, Restaurants or Drinking Places. The card is not valid at will not work at venues outside of these merchant category codes. Specifically the card is not valid at venues that are designated by their merchant category code as Fast food or quick service restaurants.
This has been corroborated by users on OzBargain who reported that they were able to use The Fork gift cards at restaurants not listed on The Fork’s website. Note that fast food outlets aren’t supported as they generally use a different merchant category code (5814).
