Every week Coles and Woolworths run promotions on various gift cards. These are a great way to save money or earn thousands of Flybuys or Everyday Rewards points on purchases you were already going to make.
The Everyday Rewards and Flybuys points offers are particularly popular because you can convert those points to Qantas and Velocity points, respectively, which can be worth a lot if redeemed on business and first class reward flights.

10x Everyday Rewards points on $50 and $100 Mastercard gift cards at Woolworths
The gift card offer at Woolworths for 3 Jun to 9 Jun 2026 is 10x Everyday Rewards points on $50 and $100 Vanilla Mastercard gift cards.
This offer should be avoided because you will at best earn just $5 worth of points but each Mastercard gift card has a $5.95 purchase fee, meaning you will lose money with every one you buy.
If the $25-500 variable load denomination weren’t excluded then it would be worth buying but Woolworths haven’t included that particular card in one of these offers since late 2024.
There are sometimes still good promotions on Mastercard and Visa gift cards these days but they’re only ever at Coles, not Woolworths.

Gift cards frequently seen in these offers include Apple, Uber, DoorDash, Google Play, Rebel, BCF, Supercheap Auto as well as multi-retailer TCN and Ultimate gift cards that can be redeemed at dozens of different brands (e.g. JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, The Good Guys, Webjet etc).

What’s better? 10% off or 20x points?
There’s not a great deal of difference between them unless you’re converting your Everyday Rewards points to Qantas or your Flybuys points to Velocity. If you’re doing that then they could be worth a lot more or a lot less than 10% off depending on how you redeem them.
However, if you’re just using your Everyday Rewards or Flybuys points to save on your grocery shop then 20x points is effectively 9.09% off – worse than 10% off but only by a bit.

No Woolies one? Or is is pending announcement?
I don’t believe there is one. That wouldn’t be unusual as Christmas is usually the one week each year that Woolworths don’t run a gift card promotion.
