Every week Coles and Woolworths run promotions on various gift cards. These are a great way to save money or earn thousands of Flybuys or Everyday Rewards points on purchases you were already going to make.
The Everyday Rewards and Flybuys points offers are particularly popular because you can convert those points to Qantas and Velocity points, respectively, which can be worth a lot if redeemed on business and first class reward flights.
20x Flybuys points on Webjet, Luxury Escapes, David Jones, Event Cinemas and Village Cinemas gift cards at Coles
The gift card offer at Coles this week is 20x Flybuys points per dollar spent on Webjet, Luxury Escapes, David Jones, Event Cinemas and Village Cinemas gift cards, available from 14 Oct to 20 Oct 2026.
For example, if you bought $500 in gift cards you would earn 10,000 Flybuys points, convertible to $50 in Flybuys Dollars or 5,000 Velocity points.

Next week’s gift card offers
Upcoming gift card promotions are only officially announced two days before they begin but here on GCDB we usually reveal them much earlier than that. Check our offers page later in the week for an exclusive early look at what’s coming up the following week.
Weekly supermarket gift card offer FAQ
How do I find out about upcoming offers?
GCDB is usually the first place upcoming gift card offers are posted so make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to be alerted to all new promotions. You can also join over 17,000 members in our Gift Card Deals group on Facebook.
Which gift cards are usually included in these offers?
FreePoints maintain the most comprehensive list of every gift card offer Coles and Woolworths have run since 2019. You can search there to see which gift cards are included in promotions and how often they come up.
Gift cards frequently seen in these offers include Apple, Uber, DoorDash, Google Play, Rebel, BCF, Supercheap Auto as well as multi-retailer TCN and Ultimate gift cards that can be redeemed at dozens of different brands (e.g. JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, The Good Guys, Webjet etc).
For a rough idea of what gift card promotions are coming up soon, you can check our Predictions page.
What’s better? 10% off or 20x points?
There’s not a great deal of difference between them unless you’re converting your Everyday Rewards points to Qantas or your Flybuys points to Velocity. If you’re doing that then they could be worth a lot more or a lot less than 10% off depending on how you redeem them.
However, if you’re just using your Everyday Rewards or Flybuys points to save on your grocery shop then 20x points is effectively 9.09% off – worse than 10% off but only by a bit.

No Woolies one? Or is is pending announcement?
I don’t believe there is one. That wouldn’t be unusual as Christmas is usually the one week each year that Woolworths don’t run a gift card promotion.
